2020 Commitment Form

Hello Terriers!

We are asking that our families complete the following form for each student attending LCS in the fall.  We are asking that you commit to a quarter (9 weeks) to either face-to-face instruction or virtual/distance learning per student.  Also indicate whether or not your student intends on riding a school bus so we can prepare our routes.

Content received by students will be similar for both in person and distance/virtual learning.  In person learning will be Monday - Friday 7:45am - 2:00pm

See you soon!

Help Us Keep the School Safe! Health Screen

As we go into cold and flu season, please remember to do the at-home health screener with your students before sending them to school.  If a student shows symptoms, please keep them home until they are 24 hours clear of symptoms with no fever-reducing medication and call your physician for next steps.  If the student shows symptoms and has been in close contact with someone that has been identified as COVID positive, please contact the local health department right away and begin a self-quarantine.

Distance Learning Preparedness

Are you prepared to go to distance learning if the district must switch to the distance learning model for a while?

As we look at options for distance learning, we’d like to collect some information from our families to be better prepared. If we all must go to distance learning, food and technology will be provided to students during any distance learning period. Please fill out our distance learning preparedness survey as soon as possible.

Terrier Update - First Week Back

Hello, Terriers!

The first week of school is complete! I would like to congratulate and thank all of our students, staff, and parents for working together so well. We have gotten reacquainted, enjoyed a lot of success, solved some problems, met some challenges, and dealt with this annoying Chinese Virus situation better than could be expected. Things are going a little smoother each day, and we expect next week to be even better.

Back To School Terrier Tips

September 8, 2020

Please welcome two new members of our staff! Sophia Broesamle ( Ms. Bro ) will be teaching History to JH and HS students this year. Amber Stefanski ( Ms. S ) will be teaching special education for us this year. It’s kind of tough to be the new kid at school, even when you're a teacher, so please help them out and make them feel welcome.

School starts on September 8, 2020. Doors open at 7:40. Students go straight to class. Class begins at 7:45. Students eat breakfast in class. Students will be spread out in the cafeteria and lower gym at lunch for distancing purposes. School releases at 2pm, and teachers work with online students from 2pm to 3pm.  Distance learning students can access and work on their courses any time of the day or night.

The good news is that things are going well and our staff is confident about meeting the challenges and excited about teaching your kids! Here are some things we can all do to assist our students in getting off to a strong, positive start to the school year:
