Terrier Update: Monday, November 23, 2020

Hello, Terriers!

Students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade will be returning to in-person instruction at school on Monday, November 30, 2020.  Students in grades 9th thru 12th will return to school for in-person instruction on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. These plans are tentative and we will notify you of any changes.

The next food distribution at school will be on November 30th and December 3rd from 2 pm to 4 pm.

While learning at home all students should check their emails daily in case your teachers are trying to contact you. There are scheduled activities every day and you don't want to miss out on anything exciting!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and may God continue to bless us all.

Mike Corey

Dear Terrier Families,

We at Litchfield Schools have been notified that a staff member of Litchfield Community Schools has tested positive for COVID-19. Upon receiving notification we started working with the Branch Hillsdale St. Joseph Health Department and the staff member to start the contact tracing process to determine how we should proceed as a school. Only one other staff person has been identified as being potentially exposed to the infected person. That person has not tested positive and has experienced no symptoms. Both of these staff persons will remain in quarantine as determined by the Health Department. We understand that everyone would like more details about this situation but due to privacy rights, there is only so much we can tell you.

Help Us Keep the School Safe! Health Screen

As we go into cold and flu season, please remember to do the at-home health screener with your students before sending them to school.  If a student shows symptoms, please keep them home until they are 24 hours clear of symptoms with no fever-reducing medication and call your physician for next steps.  If the student shows symptoms and has been in close contact with someone that has been identified as COVID positive, please contact the local health department right away and begin a self-quarantine.
